Roomspiration Master Bedrooms: Green and Coral Bedrooms

Today is the Roomspiration Master Bedrooms party at Just a Touch of Gray, so grab your master bedroom posts and go link up!

The last time I showed you our master bedroom, we had painted the room Sherwin Williams Ancient Marble and installed a ceiling fan. The new fan was amazing to have this past summer. Our room is hot in the summer, so it really helped on those sweltering days. Last summer was all sticky sheets, throwing off the covers, and sweating. This summer it felt like a cool breeze all night long. The first couple of nights I had dreams I was sleeping on the beach. It was bliss.

We haven’t done much updating since, but thought I’d share with you some of small things I’ve done and the future plans.

If you follow me on Pinterest, you may have noticed a little trend with the colors on my bedroom board.

Lots of Green and Coral

Our wall color is Sherwin Williams Ancient Marble, a soothing gray green color. I really like the coral-rusty (that’s a technical term) colors with it.

This past weekend I picked up a couple of shams from Pottery Barn Outlet in that exact shade along with the Nest pillow. The shams are Pottery Barn Alessandra.

I’m not entirely sold on the Nest pillow. What do you think? Yay? Nay? The lamps are eventually going to go and be replaced with plug in sconces. We’re also going to do some kind of headboard.

I’m thinking of going with Ty Pennington Tudor Spice fabric for the drapes.

Here’s a little mood board I whipped up to help visualize the space.

I really want to get some plug in wall sconces like the ones in the mood board. The ones in my mood board are from Pottery Barn. Not sure if we’ll go with these or something else.
I’m also on the hunt for a concave mirror to go over our dresser like this beauty from Ballard:
Or this one from Z Gallerie:
The picture of the Z Gallerie mirror doesn’t do it justice. It’s quite pretty in person. I go and visit it every time I’m at the mall :)

Ooh I have been loving the coral color too! Looks great with the color on the walls and the window treatments could be really cool too. Isn’t it funny how when you like something you “visit” it at the store and I start to get possessive of it. :) Those plug-in lamps will be great too. Can’t wait to see your room when it’s done!

I love the color swatch. Go for it. I do like the shams too, but see why you are wavering on the Nest pillow. It’s very cute, but I think the color is a little dark maybe. If you are on the hunt for sconces, do try eBay. I found Pottery Barn ones for my guest room (I need to take pictures of that room!). Never ending.

Love your inspiration pictures. Gorgeous! I love the “coral-rusty” color you are referring to. I think you described the color really well. ;) I really love your mood board of your room. Gorgeous. I always do my mood boards in the same way. I need to see the color of the wall with the flooring and with everything else. Great job! Can’t wait to see your room finished, it’s going to be gorgeous!!! :)
