We’re moving right along with our dining room reno. Now that the big things are done (painting, crown molding, and wainscoting) it’s been fun picking and choosing accessories to pull it all together. At first when we painted the walls I worried the blue-gray would feel too cold, but once we added some warm accessories and textures I think it cozied it up nicely.

So you can see where it started, this is what the dining room looked like when we bought the house.
Quite a change right?
So far we have painted the walls Benjamin Moore Iced Marble, installed crown molding, installed faux wainscoting, changed out the light fixture, got a table and chairs, and spruced it up with some accessories.

It wouldn’t be a room reno for us without something coming from Craigslist. Can you guess what it is?? I’ll give you a hint…it’s wood and functional and stained all over.

That would be our table and chairs. We actually got four of the chairs from one seller and the table from a different seller. Both were originally from World Market.

I LOVE the room!!!! My dining room had wallpaper. We just finished pulling it all off to start painting, but the wall is not textured. Can you tell me what kind of texture you used because I love the smooth look!!
Hi,
Your dining room looks beautiful! I have picked this color for my dining room as well. So I started searching for pictures of this color online and came across this picture. I have been so worried that it will be overwhelming as one of the first colors you see when you walk in the door. We have high ceilings and white shutters on the windows. The Iced Marble will be on 3 big walls and then we have picked Benjamin Moore Wheeling Neutral as our other color. Are you still loving the iced marble? Do you ever get tired of the color? What is the other neutral color you used that is showing in the other room of this picture. We are having our house painted and have to make a final decision on colors in less than a day. Would be so nice to get some reassurance that I have picked the right colors for my new home. Any feedback you have would be much appreciated! Thank you for your time!
