Annie Sloan Antibes Green

This dining room from At Home on the Bay brings a big smile to my face because it is such a fun and inviting room, and there is the cutest piece of artwork you have to go over and see. The hutch is painted Annie Sloan Antibes Green.

Ralph Lauren Stadium Red and Benjamin Moore Acadia White

This fun, retro bathroom from Eating in the Shower is painted Ralph Lauren Stadium Red. The board and batten is painted Benjamin Moore Acadia White, a nice creamy white that compliments and contrasts with the red. What a great transformation!

Sherwin Williams Mega Greige

We’ve been super busy working on our house lately. I shared our laundry room paint makeover the other day, and I revealed our hallway bathroom on Involving Home last Friday. I am so so so happy with how this paint color came out in the bathroom. We painted it Sherwin Williams Mega Greige. Check out my hallway bathroom posts for the details!

Sherwin Williams Aloof Gray

Final Touches Redesign did a gorgeous job with this bedroom makeover. Aren’t those pillows and that sign cute? The paint color is Sherwin Williams Aloof Gray. While the name may say “aloof”, the room is exactly the opposite – cozy and welcoming!

Valspar Simple Gray

The Family Room has a beautifully decorated dining room painted Valspar Simple Gray (and click over to see her home tour and the rest of her paint colors!). I think this is the type of gray that would compliment many rooms well. It certainly looks terrific with the dark stained table, white nail head trim chairs, and that rug! Oh I love that rug. I’ve been eyeing that same rug for quite awhile now.

Ace Rewards Program AND a $25 Ace Gift Card Giveaway!

I’ve got a great giveaway for you today! Enter for a chance to win a $25 Ace Hardware gift card.

I’m a huge fan of Ace Hardware. Back when I was assembling our Ikea Ektorp sofa, I lost a screw. Ikea uses metric screws which I learned are not readily available at many stores, and I really didn’t want to make the trek all the way back to Ikea for a replacement. So I hunted around at local stores and ended up at Ace where I was helped by a gentleman who quickly found the right screw size. Unfortunately, the screw was too long. So what did he do? He took the screw in the back, and with a hack saw, he shortened it for me. Have you ever sawed through metal by hand? It probably creates one of the most unpleasant noises you can generate. Think nails on a chalkboard times 10. He did this for me all for a screw that cost me about $1. That’s service folks!

So that’s why I’m happy that Ace Hardware has launched an Instant Savings program exclusively for Ace Rewards members that allows you to receive valuable discounts instantly, right at the register. Always the helpful place, Ace is giving homeowners an even better incentive to tackle their New Years Resolutions by introducing this program.

Instant Savings is just one of the benefits of being an Ace Rewards member. The program is free and will continue to provide exclusive member benefits such as 10 points for every $1 spent, a $5 Reward for every 2,500 points earned, money-saving coupons and sale reminders, along with helpful tips and content. The best part? Ace Rewards members no longer have to redeem rebates through the mail and wait the four-to-six weeks it typically takes for those to be processed. Ace’s most valuable customers can now receive Instant Savings on their purchases right at checkout.

To sign-up as an Ace Rewards member and take advantage of Instant Savings today, visit http://bit.ly/AceRewards or stop by your local participating Ace Hardware store. Sign up is free and easy.

To help you take advantage of this great new program, Ace Hardware is giving a $25 gift card to one lucky winner! You have two chances to win.

1. Leave a comment below telling us what you would buy at Ace Hardware with your $25 winnings.

2. Sign up for Ace Rewards by visiting http://bit.ly/AceRewards and come back and leave me a comment letting me know.

This giveaway closes Wednesday, January 16th at 11.59 PM. US residents only.

Link up to the Paint Color Party!

Wow, what a weekend! The DC area was hit with some major storms on Friday night, and we’ve been without cable or internet for 2 days and counting. I’m camped out at a Panera writing up this post, and I feel like someone cut off my right arm by taking away the internet. I’m thankful that’s all that we have suffered, though. As of right now on Sunday afternoon, over 700,000 in my area are still without power, and we’ve had some hot days and nights. Here’s hoping everything around here gets back to normal soon!

Also, make sure to enter my giveaway for a free gallon of Olympic One paint!

Now, time to link up your paint colors! I can’t wait to see what you have to share.

The details:

  • Please use the paint color name as your linky caption. This way each thumbnail will have the paint color name below it.
  • paint color linky party
  • Your post doesn’t have to be about your paint color specifically, just as long as it shows the room or item for that paint color.
  • You can link up rooms, painted furniture, exteriors, or anything around the house you have painted. So for those of you who do lots of DIY paint projects, you can link up those colors!
  • You can link up as many colors as you like, and it can be a new post or a previous post.
  • I’ll feature rooms from the linky parties, so it’s a new way you can submit them for inclusion in my galleries and to be featured here on Involving Color.

Please included my blog button or a text link back. I’d love it if you spread the word. The more the merrier!
